USC Upstate Computer Science

Computer Science is a fast growing and in demand career for the 21st century. With the ever changing technology and the need for highly trained individuals with strong technical and mathematical skills, computer science is a natural choice for those who want pursue a career that will allow them to work with computers. Some career choices in this major include: software developer, system analyst, information technology specialist, web application developeer, and network analyst.



Dr. Sebastian VanDelden, an Associate Professor from USC Upstate's Computer Science major, presented information about computer science and demonstrated the role of computer science through technology and science in Mrs. Givins' science classes. USC Upstate is among the fastest growing universities in South Carolina. Each computer science class provides students access to "smart" classrooms that encompass research labs, multimedia capabilities, and well equipped computer labs.
