Respiratory Care at Spartanburg Community College

Mr. Joel Livesay from Spartanburg Community College spoke to students today about careers in respiratory care.

Respiratory Care therapists evaluate, treat and care for patients with breathing problems or disorders. They assess a patient's need for respiratory care and administer therapy, while evaluating responses and modifying care. They work under the supervision of a physician. This career is in demand. Spartanburg Community College's program is a two-year Associate of Science degree program. The average salary is in the mid 50's. Students should have an interest in health sciences and should be strong science students. For more information, click here.
