Architect




Mr. Kurt Ludwick, Director of Sports Architecture at McMillan, Pazdan, and Smith Architecture in Spartanburg, SC, spoke to students today about his job as an architect. Architects help design buildings and ensure that all code specficiations are met. An internship and a Bachelor's degree in architecture are required. Jobs in this field are expected to grow faster than the average. The average starting salary is $42,000 per year. For more information about architects, click here.

United States Marine Corps





Staff Sgt. Joseph Wilson from the United States Marine Corps spoke to Mrs. McNeill's classes about careers in the Marine Corps and traveling abroad. His presentation included pictures from the various countries that he has visited through his service in the Marines. Some of the countries he discussed include Iraq, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and Austrailia. Staff Sgt. Wilson discussed cultural customs in these countries. College Application Day, October 25th

Landrum's first ever College Application Day will be on October 25th from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Landrum High School. Various representatives from local colleges and universities will be at Landrum to assist students in the process. All seniors are being encouraged to complete at least one application on this day.
