Snapshot: A career in Photography

Carter Tippins, a photographer from Fisheye Studios in Greenville, SC, spoke with Landrum High School's newspaper and yearbook students about his career as a photographer. Fisheye Studios is an award winning, full service commercial photography agency. Mr. Tippins discussed his career route and gave students photography tips.

Photography is in the arts and a/v technology career cluster. Once you graduate from high school, it is recommended that you take photography classes at the college level. Photographers should also be adept in Adobe Photoshop. Most photographers work as an assistant under the direction of a photographer for a number of years. Landrum students interested in photography should enroll in a journalism class at Landrum, job shadow with a photographer,and  take graphic arts at Swofford Career Center.
