Learn about Surgical Technology and Respiratory Care Therapy

Representatives from Spartanburg Community College will be at Landrum on January 13th to discuss careers as a surgical technician and respiratory care therapist. The outlook for both careers is strong, as jobs will continue to rise due to the aging baby boom generation. The average salary for both careers is $45,000 per year. One to two years of college is required. SCC's surgical technician program is a 12 month program and the respiratory care therapy program is a two year program. To attend, students can sign up in Guidance or with their classroom teachers.
