Leadership Converse

Leadership Converse is a 4-day experience for female rising juniors and seniors who want to polish their leadership skills. Held on July 19-22, 2015, at Converse College, this unique program offers an array of activities which engages students and helps improve their leadership skills. Students who participate will have the opportunity to meet with other high school students, get to know current Converse faculty and staff, gain more leadership skills, engage in fun and interactive workshops, and develop friendships.

Landrum Students Visit Converse College

Thirty-nine female students visited Converse College for a fun-filled day full of enriching activities and experiences. Converse, a women's college located in Spartanburg, SC, is a private four-year institution offering a plethora of majors including: education, art, interior design, business, music, and much, much more.

After Landrum students went on a campus tour, they made their way to the art and theater buildings, where they were able to experience what a real college class feels like. Taught by Converse professors, these classes were planned specifically for our Landrum students. After attending the classes, they ate lunch in the cafeteria. They completed their day with a student panel, giving them the opportunity to ask Converse students questions.

Converse College

Thirty-six female Landrum High School students went on a field trip to Converse College today. The day consisted of a variety of activities. Students were able to participate in a drama class taught by a drama professor. They met with current Converse students (some of whom were LHS graduates) for a question and answer session. They toured the campus and met with Converse staff, and then ate lunch in the dining hall. We thank Converse for setting up this fantastic day for our students.

Converse College

Forty-eight Landrum High School female students were treated to a campus tour of Converse College. Converse personnel coordinated a fun-filled, educational experience for the girls. The students attended an admissions information session and then participated in a mock classroom. This gave the girls the opportunity to experience first-hand what it feels like to be in a college class taught by a college professor. Converse College gave Landrum students a special treat on October 28th. More than 15 students toured the campus and were the given the opportunity to "sit in" on classes. Converse is a private, all female, liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, SC. Converse offers a plethora of majors. One of Converse's newest majors is nursing. This five year program enables students to study at Converse their first 3 years of school and then finish at Vanderbuilt University in Nashville their last 2 years. Converse College

An Admissions Rep from Converse College spoke with more than twenty students today about admissions requirements, majors, and financial aid. Some new things at Converse include a new musical theatre major and a five year Master's Degree in Nursing major. The Master's in Nursing program is in a partnership with Vanderbuilt University. Upon graduating, students will earn a Master's degree from Vanderbuilt University. Converse has added a scholarship for students with a 2.75 and 900 SAT or 19 ACT worth $9,000.
